Genie 3.0 now runs on Claude Opus 4.7, the most powerful AI model available for our legal agent. Rolling out to every customer this week.
Smarter drafting, sharper review, faster contracting. You focus on the business, Genie handles the legal.
Spreadsheets are now a first-class input and output in Agentic Legal Workflows. Upload Excel or CSV files (cap tables, financial schedules, compliance matrices, pricing sheets) and Genie opens them in a native spreadsheet viewer with tab navigation and resizable columns.
Behind the scenes, the agent reads every sheet, cell, and formula, not just the visible values, so the analysis reflects what the document actually means and not just what it looks like.
Drop in a playbook spreadsheet and the agent will review your documents against it or apply amendments in line with it. Your firm's review standards live alongside the review itself, in a format your legal team is already comfortable editing.
Point the agent at a set of existing contracts and it will synthesise a structured playbook you can re-use across future reviews. Turn the patterns already present in your signed contracts into the reference for everything you review next.
Turn the result of any review into a sharable spreadsheet, with one row per finding and columns for severity, clause reference, recommendation, and source. Drop it straight into your existing review triage and tracking workflow without reformatting.
The agent reads the full structure of the spreadsheet, not just the rendered text. Formulas, sheet relationships, and hidden columns are all in scope, so analysis is grounded in how the numbers are actually built, not only how they display.
When the agent references a specific clause in a review, summary, or message (for example, "see clause 4.2(b)"), it's now a live link. Click it and the editor scrolls to that exact clause in the source document, whether it's the document you're working on or another file in the workflow.
This is deep-linking to citations. Every reference the agent produces is a clickable jump back to the original clause, so you can verify the agent's reasoning in a single click instead of hunting through a contract manually.
Images are now first-class inputs in Agentic Legal Workflows. Upload scanned contracts, signature pages, visual exhibits, diagrams, or screenshots alongside your text documents and the agent will read them as part of the same workflow.
Supported formats include JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, TIFF, and HEIC, so whatever your phone, scanner, or exhibit bundle throws at Genie, it can be part of the conversation.
Find any document in Genie by title, from a single search bar. No more remembering which project a document belongs to. Start typing the name and jump straight to the file you need, wherever in your workspace it lives.
Recent documents sit at the top, so you can hop straight back into whatever you last worked on.
Tabular Insights give your team a single place to upload executed contracts and see them as structured, searchable knowledge. Upload a batch of documents and Genie extracts counterparties, commercial terms, obligations, and key dates into a table you can filter, sort, and share.
Tabular Insights are available as a preview for all paid accounts today, and will roll out to every customer as part of the Genie 3.0 general availability release. Find them in the sidebar under Company Knowledge.
Not every insight is predictable up front. Ask a question about any column, such as "What's the renewal notice period?", "Who's the signatory?", or "What's the governing law?", and the agent extracts that field across every document in the table.
Related documents are grouped automatically, so procurement, employment, and commercial contracts sit in their own views without anyone moving files around manually.
Drop a new document into a table and every existing column fills in on its own in the background. No re-runs, no re-prompting. Your insights stay current as the workspace grows.
Collapse columns, reorder them, hide system fields you don't need. Sharing controls and export are wired up for the upcoming general availability release.
Genie now runs as a Microsoft Word add-in, so you can stay in the document you're already editing. Open the add-in, run a risk Review against your playbook, or Ask a question about a specific clause. Answers come back with clickable links that scroll you straight to the paragraph they're talking about.
Available from Microsoft AppSource. Your Microsoft 365 admin can enable it for your whole team in a single step.
Eidetic Intelligence is the technology that powers legal quality in Agentic Legal Workflows. It's a purpose-built architecture designed around a single problem general-purpose AI can't solve on its own: making legal work that is accurate, verifiable, and defensible.
Why it exists. Standard AI models fabricate numbers, lose track of earlier decisions as documents grow, and have no way to self-check their own output. In legal work, a single invented figure or missed clause can compound into analysis that's worse than useless. Eidetic Intelligence is built to prevent that.
How it works. Every workflow runs through a sequence of specialised agents with independent quality checks between each step. Nothing moves forward until the output passes validation against a clear definition of done. When a check fails, the system generates targeted feedback and re-runs the step with specific corrections, instead of hoping the next attempt is better.
Perfect recall. Instead of cramming every document into a single prompt, Eidetic Intelligence keeps every intermediate artefact in an external memory and preserves the relationships between clauses across documents. The agent can work across unlimited document sets without forgetting what it read three documents ago.
Measured quality. On a benchmark of 65 legal documents evaluated across 15 quality dimensions, Genie scored 135/150, with perfect 10/10 marks on factual accuracy, risk coverage, regulatory coverage, financial quantification, and cross-reference synthesis.
Eidetic Intelligence is UK patent-pending.
Agentic Legal Workflows are a new way to get legal work done in Genie. Open a workflow, describe what you need (review this NDA, draft a revenue share agreement, compare two versions, tighten a clause), and a team of AI specialists plans the work, runs it, and hands you back an editable document.
How it works. Workflows run as a coordinated pipeline. Your request is broken down into concrete steps, each step is carried out by an agent specialised for that kind of legal work, and the result is assembled into a clean, user-facing summary. Every step hands off a verified piece of work to the next, so nothing gets lost between the ask and the delivered draft.
Agentic Legal Workflows are available as a preview for all paid accounts today, and will roll out to every customer as part of the Genie 3.0 general availability release.
The right-hand panel is the agent's workspace. Upload any reference document and the agent can read, redline, and edit in context. Agents understand the difference between the document you're working on and the references you've provided, and keep edits scoped to the one you mean.
Workflows support review against a playbook, drafting from scratch, clause-level edits, comparison across versions, and obligation extraction. Every workflow finishes with a clean summary and clickable citations back to the source. No "all tasks completed" clutter and no wall of agent chatter to scroll past.
Under the hood, Agentic Legal Workflows are powered by Eidetic Intelligence, Genie's patent-pending architecture that keeps every claim traceable to a source document, every figure verifiable, and every cross-reference consistent across an unlimited document set.
Agentic Legal Workflows now ship with a dedicated editor built for back-and-forth with the agent. Documents render with the formatting and numbering they had in Word, and the agent can update them in place as you chat.
The editor opens read-only by default so documents stay exactly as the agent produced them. Switch to editing whenever you want to make manual tweaks.
